"Panda Watch!"

Chengdu was great. We went and saw the pandas (pics to follow). We saw some adults eating bamboo like they were at an all you can eat buffet. They eat like 16 hours a day. Then we saw some 1 year olds playing with each other. It was real funny. Last we saw a mother panda and baby panda. Apparently, the mother barely eats and spends most of her time caring for the baby. We saw a bunch of baby pandas sleeping together in a crib. so cute. It was fantastic.

The next day we went to Leshan to see the Grand Buddha otherwise known as Dafo. It's the largest Buddha in the world. It was carved out of a cliff in about 803 AD. It was amazing. We have some great pics.

Just got to Yangshuo after flying to Guilin. Yanshuo is a small town right on the Li River and is about 1 1/2 hours from Guilin. We caught the bus from Guilin and had a crazy ride. The bus was not even half full when we left the station. Then the bus crawled at about 3 miles per hour through town on the way to the highway, while a women, the money collector and sollicitor, was hanging out the door screaming "Yangshuo...Yangshuo!" We made a bunch of stops and people hopped on along the way. Finally the bus was full after about 15 minutes of this. We got on the highway and it was like NASCAR with a lot of honking and flashing the brights. Our bus driver was a madman...spending most of the time in the wrong lane or on the shoulder. He would pass cars and be driving into oncoming traffic and beeping so that they would slow down or stop so he could have space to get back in the right lane. I was amazed at his skills but also freaking out. Most people drive this way over here, while smoking and drinking tea, but we haven't seen any accidents. They're good.
