Xi'an-ing it
So got to Xi'an today by way of a 6 hour bus. The bus was not bad...standard coach with AC and pretty comfortable. We made a bunch of stops which included bathroom breaks and to pick up and drop off locals along the highway. No set stops...pretty much random places. Anyway...the first bathroom break was a great success. Pretty clean bathrooms and a food market where we had some tasty cookies. The second stop was not like the first. I got off to go to the bathroom with many other gentlemen. As we walk in single file i notice to the left are urinals and to the right are eastern style toilets with no doors or high walls and of course a man squatting... so i turned right around...i didn't need to go that badly. We arrived in Xi'an and went to explore the bustling Muslim Quarter. We had very good mutton soup and some dried kiwi and persimmon, along with other street treats. We're off to see the Terra cotta warriors tomorrow. All is well and Xi'an seems like an awesome city.
